Relocation...

After the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, part of the garden will travel to Creative Start, an addiction recovery centre in Grimsby, to become the first green space on the Docks. It will transform an industrial yard at the centre’s social space, the Black Gull, into a publicly accessible nature haven. Partnering Elisabeth for the relocation is social enterprise Create Streets , an organisation that helps communities, landowners, councils and developers create and steward beautiful, healthy and sustainable places. For the last 3 years, Create Streets has been working with the community of the East Marsh in Grimsby, where the garden will be sited. One of the most deprived wards in the UK and an area almost devoid of greenery, the Courtyard will contribute significantly to the ‘Greening Up the Marsh’ ‘Greening Up the Marsh’ programme.
