Inspired by the client’s love of Ibiza, this front garden brings together a white rendered wall, grasses and drought-tolerant perennials to create a calm, Mediterranean-influenced entrance.
The design also incorporates privacy and practical storage, allowing the garden to feel considered and welcoming while making good use of the available space.
THE DESIGN
A Mediterranean influence
The palette draws on the relaxed character of Ibiza, using pale rendered surfaces alongside soft grasses and drought-tolerant planting.
The contrast between the clean architectural elements and looser planting gives the garden structure while keeping the overall feeling informal and relaxed.
Making the entrance work harder
As well as creating a more inviting approach to the house, the design responds to practical needs for privacy and storage.
These elements are incorporated into the overall layout so that they feel part of the garden rather than separate additions.
