VIEW PROJECT →COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Alongside private and show gardens, Botanical Spaces is developing ideas for community and public spaces that can support more than one use.
These projects explore how planting can sit alongside art, music, wellbeing and shared activity, creating places where people can gather, make, listen and connect, as well as pause, rest and spend time outdoors.
Some projects are currently at concept or funding stage and will continue to develop in collaboration with the communities and organisations involved.
CURRENT PROJECTS
Currently developing ideas with Unknown Macc CIC for community green spaces in Macclesfield, including a garden for reflection and wellbeing and an outdoor space for local music and events.
COMMUNITY PROJECT
Following RHS Chelsea 2024, The Anywhere Courtyard was relocated to Creative Start Arts in Health CIC at the Port of Grimsby, giving the show garden a new life as part of a community arts and wellbeing space.
READ THE STORY →CONCEPT STUDY
A garden concept exploring how planting, painting and botanical study could come together in a shared creative space, offering somewhere to make and learn as well as somewhere quiet to spend time outdoors.
PLANTING
Planting is central to every project, shaping the atmosphere of a garden and the way it changes through the year.
Schemes respond to the conditions of the site and bring together structure, colour, texture and seasonal change, with consideration for resilience, wildlife and how plants will grow together over time.
