Sketches from the garden

A collection of botanical sketches and watercolours exploring plants, colour, form and the changing seasons.

Drawing is part of the way I look at gardens. It encourages me to slow down and notice the structure of a plant, the relationship between colours and textures, and the small details that can easily be overlooked.

These studies sit alongside my garden design work, sometimes recording plants and places, and sometimes simply beginning with something that catches my eye.
